What you will need...
For the waffles:
- 1 cup plain flour
- 2 tbsp malted milk powder
- 1 tbsp sugar-¾ tbsp baking powder
- 1 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 2 tbsp melted and cooled butter
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
For the filling:
- 1 ½ cup Strawberry Skyr
- 1 cup halved strawberries
- 2 tbsp honey
- Make the waffles; preheat the waffle iron.
- Whisk flour, malted milk powder, sugar, and baking powder in a bowl.
- Whisk in milk, egg, butter, and vanilla extract. Stir until you have a smooth batter.
- Ladle batter into preheated waffle iron and cook until golden. Set aside.
- Prepare the strawberries; toss the strawberries with honey and set aside for 10 minutes.
- To assemble; whip the Skyr with a whisk.
- Spread the Skyr over half the waffles. Top the waffles with strawberry slices and sandwich them with the remaining waffles.
- Serve and enjoy
