What you will need...

For the waffles:

  • 1 cup plain flour
  • 2 tbsp malted milk powder
  • 1 tbsp sugar-¾ tbsp baking powder
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp melted and cooled butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

For the filling:

  • 1 ½ cup Strawberry Skyr
  • 1 cup halved strawberries
  • 2 tbsp honey
  1. Make the waffles; preheat the waffle iron.
  2. Whisk flour, malted milk powder, sugar, and baking powder in a bowl.
  3. Whisk in milk, egg, butter, and vanilla extract. Stir until you have a smooth batter.
  4. Ladle batter into preheated waffle iron and cook until golden. Set aside.
  5. Prepare the strawberries; toss the strawberries with honey and set aside for 10 minutes.
  6. To assemble; whip the Skyr with a whisk.
  7. Spread the Skyr over half the waffles. Top the waffles with strawberry slices and sandwich them with the remaining waffles.
  8. Serve and enjoy
